It's hard to imagine many ways to graphically illustrate a product like this without being gross, but they've found a way to do it with humor. Offensive? I think it's rather amusing, because of its subtlety. The Smiling Bob commercials are worse, if only because they're played so often it gets annoying. I don't need this cereal, personally, but if I did I'd buy it. I'm more offended by commercials that attempt to convey a sense of reality by showing groups of women discussing a birth control pill in a club, or attractive young couples calmly discussing their problems with genital herpes. I don't have kids, but imagine trying to explain what herpes is to them! I have no problem with birth control, but I just find it in bad taste to portray the falsehood that women actually discuss this when they go to the jazz club and their doctor friends tell them everything about the pill, sounding as though they are reading from a medical pamphlet. It's ridiculous, if advertisers want to get the point across, then they should use something a bit less realistic, like the commercial we're discussing, which is merely silly and amusing.

Potty humor for grown-ups

YES!

I am vindicated!

Potty humor for grown-ups

I THINK ALL THE VIAGRA/E.D. I find it interesting that the ones who got it right away seem to be the ones who were most offended. Those of us who had to watch more than once before it dawned on us thought it was funny. Why is it that people who have these things at the forefront of their minds to begin with express the most disgust?

Potty humor for grown-ups

I find it ironic that Seattleite gripes about poop jokes but spells "asinine" with "ass." Ahhhh. too much!

Some of you folks need to get a grip. For my part, and I am not even in the targeted age group, it is hillarious. Those of you who are moaning about it and refusing to purchase the product advertised, that is fine.....may you get constipation until it reaches impaction.....because its fairly obvious to me that only a tight arse would miss the humor in this one.

Potty humor for grown-ups

I cast my vote in favor of the anal humor. This is much more clever and entertaining than the "doctor" and diagram type of advertising, or those ridiculous conversations that would never actually take place. Also regarding the Viagra band...I have to wonder if there isn't really a band that wrote this song and played in a small club. Probably with more verses that we don't know about!

Potty humor for grown-ups

Is that a pun about the Viagra? {Hang around|
