I think it's funny. Long as the room is clean when I get there I won't think of the "people that came there before me" aspect of a hotel room. The commercial is made to cause you to remember them... and I think it good. We take ourselves WAY too seriously these days and think kind of sophmoric humor is good from time to time.

I stayed in an Extended Stay hotel once for 3 months. I was a restaurant manager and was sent out of town to run one of the restaurants there. It was supposed to be for 6 weeks and after 3 months, I'd had enough (of the restaurant). While no one likes to stay away from home that long, the hotel was very nice, clean and safe. I set the smoke detector off one morning cooking sausage in my George Foreman grill. At that point, I had been there so long, the front desk called and said, "Hey Bill, you okay down there??" Kinda funny.

Anyway, if I was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks, I'd definitely stay there again.

Extended stay isn't a bad place to stay, unless you are expecting a true 'hotel' atmosphere. you don't get daily maid service, so if you want your bed made, you need to do it yourself. Clean towels? Stop at the front desk. I've stayed at a couple that even allow pets, which makes it absolutely miserable if you have pet allergies (or if you don't like to hear dogs barking in the hall)....

If you have never let a sneaky one go then I suppose you can be horrified at the thought. But you would be a very rare person indeed. There are numerous reasons to be disgusted with human behavior but this isn't one of them. Have a bit of a sly giggle; you will feel a whole lot better.

Why was this article written? It made the commercial sound shameful. What a waste of words. The commercial was adorable and cheeky (all puns intended). I taught my students about gas dispersion by using the examples of farts and burps! Years later, they remembered the lesson and were no less polite for learning that way. The article served as a vehicle to allow me to see a great ad I never would have seen. Lighten up, folks. There is enough truly disgusting stuff out in the world.

My family and I stayed at an Extended Stay in Florida last year. Near as I can recall, the smell of flatulence was undetected. Lets face it people, a little tongue-in-cheek humou is good for ALL of us. Obviously, those whose comments are against this ad, haven't let a good one go lately, and that's why they're so uptight!

I didn't know about the Fart Hotel until this ad, so of course it will help business. I have an acquaintance who is quite beautiful and is moving to my area. I want her to stay with me until she gets settled, but at least now we know of a place to fart I mean stay in case she doesn't like my brand of farts. There should be more open talk of Farts. Such as what causes the really bad ones, what not to eat etc. What about a Fart expert? Any out there?

I've been debating which kind of lodging to reserve for Fall Break with my 6,5,and 4-year old God-grandsons. The article has convinced me that Extended Stay is the perfect place to sleep & eat with those little farts. It's amazing how young they learn to blame someone else with those sweet, innocent faces. Hope to be able to watch the commercials with them before our adventure.

THe first time I saw that ad I laughed so hard when I realized what was happening. I do work with Middle School students, maybe that's why it's amusing to me, but I remembered the hotel's name (which I don't recall having heard before) so I think it worked.

i would have a hard time staying at an extended stay hotel without giggling at check in thinking of their commercial. Juvenile but humerous.
